Rusty, that is great you have renewed this site for 5 more years... People need to come to the forum and chat about their childhood and their recent lives. Can you send out a mass email and get people more excited. Class of "66" is at over 7700 posts... Wish I knew how to help get this forum moving.. Just wanted to say thanks for updates... GOOOOOOOOOOOOO Mustangs!!!

I would love to be part of a 45th reunion. But give me as much lead time as possible as it may take me a while to get there. To bad Randy will only be there in our hearts, it would be good to see him in person.

Hi all

I'm up for another reunion - too much fun. Let's put it together and have some fun...well, 62 year old fun! :)

Hello everyone,

I would definitely come to a 45th reunion.  I really enjoyed the last reunion.  It is always good to see everyone.  I hope more people will be able to come.  I think of many people that haven't attended that it would be so great to see and talk to.  Doheny Beach sounds fine with me.  I went there with my sister, Trudy Skalberg, to attend her reunion and it was a fun setting.

I too think of Randy often.  He really spent a lot of time talking to me and my husband, Dave at the reunion and at the B-B-Q at his unique home.  His funeral was sad, but very respectful.  It was good to see all the pictures and hear everyone's sharing.  He is truly being missed by so many.

I haven't been to this site for a long time.  It was good to read everyone's responses.I saw a post for Gail Markley.  It was so good to see that you are part of the site, Gail.   I have thought of you many times.

Look forward to hopefully getting together with everyone soon.

Cathy Meuse (Skalberg)

I'm all in for a 45th! At this point any reunion would be good, lol. I like the idea of July or August time frame. Getting married in two months (July 15th) so life keeps getting more rewarding and exciting as the years go by. Let me know what I can do to assist.

Rusty,

If the reunion is at least mid Sept I can make it as I'll be on my way to another fishing trip and will start in the Bay Area so SoCal would work. Aug or Jul no go as flts are full off Maui and I fly stand-by non-rev as I am retired from American Airlines for ten yrs now.

I learned how to surf at Doheny so that would bring back lots of memories.

Would be great to see you guys and tell some lies. That's what you do at reunions right???

Sorry I don't have any address or email stuff for you.

Hoppy

Hello ole friends. I just found this site. It's like an early Christmas present for me. I was trying to see if I could find a copy of our 1968 yearbook as mine walked away many years ago, when I discovered this site. I would really love to find a copy as I was the editor of that edition. If anyone could help me with my search it would be greatly appriciated. Also, it would be wonderful to hear from you guys.Thanks. later.

Hi to everyone and especially you  Loyde. I must regret to tell you all that I will be tied up in the South Pacific during the reunion time so you 'll just have to have fun without me !!!  My loss for sure. But I will try to skype Loyde sometime just before the party to give him an update as to where Suzi and I are. Can't even guess right now as to where that may be except to say it will be west of Fiji. Look forward to seeing some photos .  Love to you all-  David & Suzi  s/v Sidewinder

To Sobo and all others that can't make the get-to-gether in August.  I know this will not be practical for many but we have two objectives.

1)  Opportunity to reunite with classmates

2)  Obtain updates on our friends.

so David, Skeet, Hoppi and Steve Malinowski who I have received notices from,  post pictures of what you are doing and Rusty will post pictures from the gatihering.  I hope to make a trek once a year to Costa Mesa and will let you all know when.  I hope the many of you that return for visits will notify Rusty just so we can keep up with each other.  Like Rusty says," any reason for a party is a good thing".

Loyd

I've enjoyed seeing all the reunion photos but haven't been able to attend any of the reunions.  Keep the photos coming.  It's hard to get out to Southern California from here on the East Coast.  There are some of us C.M.H.S. graduates in the Washington, D.C. area.  Perhaps we could plan an East Coast reunion.

Doug and anyone who needs their yearbooks,

I have all the old 1960's yearbooks from all the Newport Mesa Schools available on CD and DVD.  So if you'd like a copy of your years on the old yearbooks drop me a note with your address and I can send a copy of them. They open in Adobe Reader and Acrobat and anything else that reads PDF files. I made them now all searchable so you can find specific people in the books.

PS:  I do not charge for this at all. I accept donations for blank CDs and DVDs but that is all and it is never required.

I want to thank Rusty Lusk for once again organizing and hosting the 47th CMHS class of 1968 reunion. Once again at Wakehum park in Costa Mesa. Ken Snow and Larry Paul were there, please notice the bounce house that was supplied for this years amusement.

Spencer Scarlett and Rusty Lusk were there along with yours truly. Hopefully we will see more classmates at future events! It was nice to just sit and talk . Subjects included the P.E. program and the obstacle course that we all learned a lot on. The colored shorts that were earned through hard work and sweat. Rusty of course "mentioned"  that he earned his 'Reds' his freshman year. We could not remember who earned their golds. If anyone remembers please post.

OK Mike I am responding even though I don't remember you,. Sorry, some of the 60's and most of the 70's are sort or a blurr for me. If any of you plan on getting together again in August or Sept. let me know. Suzi and I are back from the Philippines and are relocating our boat to the Seattle area so we will be closer to friends and family from now on. Great reading peoples names and putting faces to them, the most carefree days of my life with more smiles than tears.
