Karen was the type of person you just 'clicked' with. She, Debbie Wolf, and I were best buds and enjoyed gossiping, telling secrets, eating together every day at lunch, etc.
After graduation, we all parted ways to pursue our adult lives. Karen and I connected again through Classmates just a few years ago, she now living in Chicago and I here in California. Our reunion was all too brief, as she contracted Lou Gehrig's disease. After a valiant struggle, during which she still insisted on staying in touch through emails her hospice nurse wrote to me, she passed in the Fall of 2007.
Karen was a wonderful and kind soul, the type of friend everyone deserves and who I was so extremely fortunate to have known.
