For those that remember Robert (Butch) Martin, Butch passed away June 16. Butch will probably be remembered as the drumner in the band Second Time and the Pleasure Seakers in high school.
I had quite a few classes with Butch. I remember the band well. I can't remember who was lead guitar, but I do remember the Gretsch "country gentleman" he played.
Butch and the other guys in the band Second Time were friends. They set up in my back yard and played at my 16th birthday. He and some of the guys would come by and we would hang out talking until late into the night. If I remember right, they also played at the Costa Mesa Teen Center at the Fairgrounds. Lots of good memories with him.
