I am so sorry to hear this news. I so enjoyed being a songleader with Yvonne. I'd lost touch with her and knew little about her life/family, but my prayers will be with them.
While I only knew Yvonne in my Senior year when she was on the songleader team with Shelley and Pam Birkbeck and I was on the varsity basketball; she possessed a cheerfulness and hopefulness that was special, even when the songleaders had to endure some rather unremarkable games. It saddens me that she is not here with us to enjoy these Senior years of life, which one always hopes each tomorrow will bring...
This news has saddened me as all these type of notices do from our class. I only knew Yvonne casually at CMHS but got to know her at OCC while she was studying to be a nurse. One cannot help but adore Yvonne Grisham. I feel very blessed that you were a part of my life.
I met Yvonne at Davis Jr. High, we had study hall together in the Library. She was a sweet girl. This is a reminder for all of us to enjoy the moments and never leave without saying I love you.
