So sad to hear of the passing of my closest childhood friend. We shared many wonderful times together, especially on the ball field where he caught many of the best games I ever pitched. My deepest sympathys to his wife and sisters Sandy and Joyce. Go with God Danny Boy (he loved that song)...as Hamlet said "I'll be with you soon...go you a little before me"

Danny was a person of even temperament and kindness of heart. One of those people that you could look at, and see nothing but peace. To this day I remember a lot of special phrases he concocted which conveyed an understated sense of humor; ones that looked at the ordinary things in life and transformed them into something laughable.  His charming smile was something that spoke legions of his inner being.  Laughter and smiles and kindness are qualities, which are in such short supply, yet he gave these freely to everyone.  The world is so much the lesser without his presence…
